Homer Reading + Preschool & Kindergarten Online Curriculum Review I Hill Country Homestead

I was compensated for my time and all opinions are honest. I was not required to post a positive review.

I am thrilled to share the program we have been using for Lincoln and Adalina for the past month. When we finally decided to keep Lincoln home for Kindergarten this year I ordered the beginning readers and a few workbooks for him and considered the subject of reading covered. Little did I know we needed Homer Reading in our lives! This program is so diverse in learning applications to support reading initiatives with colorful and interactive activities, the kids beg to log on every day! It’s a huge help when I need to get a little work done or am trying to get dinner ready I can let the kids log on to Homer and I know it’s educational and fun for all of them.

I initially signed up with Homer for Lincoln who is Kindergarten age but it’s been such a wonderful program for Adalina who is preschool age. The program has a long list of book titles she can choose from and her favorite activity while using Homer is to select one of these books and it reads aloud to her! Adalina is such a book worm and I love that we have a program she can listen to books aloud on when I’m busy or in the middle of something. I was so happy to see so many titles we are familiar with like Angelina Ballerina, Where the Wild Things Are, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and so many more. She is already familiar with these books and repetition is so important at her age, she can log in and listen to these stories as many times as she would like!

For Lincoln, the phonics and reading support with Homer has been wonderful. He has his beginning reader books that we work through but Homer provides a fun and interactive space he can go to practice his reading skills and learn new skills all on his own, which he loves. Homer keeps him on track with his own personalized account and leads him on an interactive journey at his own pace with current lessons available for his level and lesson reviews mixed in. This entire program is a parents educational dream!

While back to school may look a little different this year this is a great resource to keep young children progressing in their reading and take a little stress out of the situation for parents. Homer is ad-free, personalized to the child, and does a wonderful job of keeping the child interested and engaged in ’s a big mom win in my opinion. Families can try HOMER free for 30 days and receive our exclusive back-to-school offer of just $45 for the year (over 60% off) Use any of the links in this post for more information or to try it yourself!
