Page A Day Math Curriculum and So Much More Review I Hill Country Homestead

I was compensated for your time and All opinions are honest. I was not required to post a positive review.

I am so excited to share the Math progress Lincoln has experienced using this kit from Page A Day Math!  When I first found out about it, I knew I had put Kindergarten Math off too long. He and I had been focusing primarily on handwriting and phonetic reading. The Math kits from Page A Day Math is a fantastic math fact fluency curriculum ranging from Pre K to 5th grade, also includes extra printable worksheets with extensive sight word lists, cursive practice, and word problems. I was thrilled to get so much from the Page A Day.com website and a comprehensive kit tailored to Lincoln’s math level.

Why I Love This Math Fluency Curriculum For Kindergarten Addition

Until recently, Lincoln’s math lessons had been specifically concrete Montessori materials. When we chose Page A Day as an introductory abstract Kindergarten math curriculum, I was pleased to see there were still plenty of visuals throughout the workbook pages. This workbook visual helped make the transition from concrete math concepts and manipulatives to a more abstract and math fact-based method. Kindergarten is the perfect time to make this transition, and I have been amazed at how well Page A Day holds his attention and keeps him engaged. His favorite part is filling in the dog bones for success at the end of each lesson. Each new numeral concept is presented visually with pictures of dog bones and symbolically through numbers. We started with the addition and counting kit, and they also offer subtraction, multiplication, and division kits.

Using PageADayMath.com For Homeschool Printables

A bonus is lots of additional printables on the website, ranging from Kindergarten addition worksheets and worksheets with tracing prompts to strengthen fine motor skills. Each printout and math fluency kit focuses on enhancing handwriting through tracing; this includes numbers that are especially difficult for Lincoln. I’m particularly impressed with the extra worksheets that cater to children’s interests, such as sports, baking, word problems, and jokes!

Pre K- 5th-grade Homeschool Math Curriculum Review

The books are intentionally smaller than traditional workbooks, and when Lincoln finished his Daily assignment, he can tuck it away easily in his accordion binder that holds his other assignments. Lincoln loves math, and it’s never a problem to get him to complete his assignments in this subject. Handwriting has always been a difficult skill to get him to practice. The bonus sheets from Page A Day Math.com are easy to print in a few moments, he can choose handwriting practices that interest him, and he gets number tracing practice as he completes his daily math assignments. His handwriting has improved tremendously since we have introduced Page A Day!
