Writing Help For High School + WriteAtHome Review I Hill Country Homestead

I was compensated for my time and all opinions are honest. I was not required to post a positive review.

Writing is my thing. As a student, I always loved language, writing, and reading. I excelled at essays, research papers, grammar, and creative writing. I write for fun as an adult, making an income blogging about things I enjoy. Am I passionate about grading papers? No? Am I a massive fan of dragging my big kids through High School level writing courses? Also, no. Enter WriteAtHome middle school and high school online writing courses and workshops! We decided to try out WriteAtHome’s High School Expository writing workshop to buff out any literary rust from the summer break. It makes writing and language at the upper level so easy for the instructor and the student. This course took the guesswork out of homeschool English for us, and I’m pleased to report what I loved most about this online program for big kids.

High School Writing and Composition Curriculum

In my opinion, Even the most remarkable literary genius would love to have the help of WriteatHome in their wheelhouse. I love the English language, and I love to pen a few pages and proofread just as much as the next homeschool Mom, but when the kids get to middle school and high school, the children they can become, well, challenging. Getting your teenage daughter to correct her spelling or grammar or edit a rough draft is not for the faint of heart. Any help welcome, please, and thank you. So the way WriteAtHome is set up online with a virtual dashboard and a teacher to grade everything worked out great and were exactly what I needed to take a lot of work off my plate.

Online Writing Courses and Workshops

WriteAtHome High School Expository writing was the first time I have placed Julia’s English instruction into another person’s hands in a while, and it was glorious! She completes the writing assignments, the online teacher proofreads them, sends them back to her with edits, and Julia creates a final draft. It’s all virtual, and it’s all-inclusive. I also love that WriteAtHome teaches all areas of writing, so I know we aren’t missing or skipping over anything, so it’s holding me accountable as a homeschool teacher, also making sure she covers all the requirements. Online teaching and tutoring at the pre-teen and teenage level are priceless, and I also think it’s essential for the older children to receive instruction from different teachers to diversify their education as they grow older. WriteAtHome makes it easy and convenient to achieve this without leaving home while still following a homeschool curriculum. The best part about WriteAtHome online courses is they can be an add on or stand-alone curriculum, the program works the way you need it to for your child.

WriteatHome Review Conclusion

I hope my review of WriteAtHome online writing courses for middle school and high school students was informative as a recommendation for a WriteAtHome course as a writing curriculum or as a resource for tutoring. It is very reassuring to know I can easily purchase an annual year-long writing course. I love that I have easy access to writing workshops that focus on specific areas of writing, such as narrative, descriptive, expository, persuasive, research, and creative styles of writing. Julia is thriving in her writing; finally, I am so impressed with her progress that I cannot wait to enroll her in her next writing workshop.
