My Sweet Escape to Fredericksburg: A Slice of French Country Luxury in Texas… Tap to Book!
When I imagine the perfect getaway, I think of charm, comfort, and just the right amount of luxury—and that’s exactly what I found at The Sweet Escape in Fredericksburg, Texas.
From the moment I stepped onto the property, I felt like I was transported to a peaceful countryside retreat with a touch of French elegance. Nestled just one block from downtown Fredericksburg, this historic estate offered the best of both worlds: serene privacy and quick access to everything I love about this town—wine tasting rooms, boutique shopping, and incredible restaurants.
One of my favorite parts of The Sweet Escape was the original Sunday House—cozy, historic, and beautifully preserved. It features a landmark fireplace that set the perfect mood for evenings in, along with a pool table, Roku TV, wet bar, and the most inviting double loft.
With four spacious bedrooms and three elegant bathrooms, the house comfortably accommodated our group of 13. Every corner of the home felt thoughtfully designed and luxurious without being overdone. Whether we were gathered in the fully-equipped chef’s kitchen trying out new recipes, or lounging in one of the two large courtyards with a glass of wine, there was always a spot to relax and reconnect.
And the amenities? Let’s just say we were spoiled. From the heated pool and hot tub to the corn hole set, s’mores around the fire pit, and a BBQ grill for perfect Texas cookouts, every moment was filled with laughter and ease. There’s nothing like winding down in one of the many outdoor seating areas, watching the sun set over the Hill Country sky.
In short, The Sweet Escape lived up to its name—it was more than a vacation rental; it was a memory-making haven. Whether you're planning a family reunion, a girls’ weekend, or just need to recharge, this is the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.
