I was compensated for your time and All opinions are honest. I was not required to post a positive review.

Science was the last thing to check off on my home school curriculum list. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do. The time for a decision to be made was getting close and Kindergarten science was missing from my radar. When the option to try out The Great World of Science with Common Sense Press I knew the Lord was speaking to me! I let Lincoln choose from the human body & senses, insects & arachnids, the ocean, world of plants, the world of vertebrates, atoms molecules & matter, tools & technology, the world of space, and the world of light & sound. He almost chose Insects but had an equal amount of interest in Tools & Technology. We went with the latter and it has been a lot of science fun for Lincoln!

Home-school Science for Kindergarten thru 8th Grade!

All of the science curricula’s from Common Sense Press have clear and easy to understand instructions that seems to cater to even the most disorganized minds like mine. Specific lesson plans are explained in great detail and there is a hands on project included for each lesson which makes the coursework engaging especially for younger children. I love that I can present this curriculum to him when he is older and has better handwriting and comprehension skills. I could also use it for any other up and coming elementary students in the household and there are a few of them! This curriculum is so versatile, that’s my favorite thing about it!

Easy To Use Elementary Curriculum

I love that this curriculum encourages the student to branch out and investigate. The science course contains information for the student to learn and expand upon. In my opinion, it very closely mimics the essence of science. The student learns a basic concept this leads to various ideas and, the student heads out to learn more. I also love that the curriculum supports reliance on the local library with lists of specific books within each lesson and sorted by reading level age.

Tools & Technology Review Conclusion

Lincoln’s mind is very order and process-based and, to see him in wonder at how the world works is magical. I feel like I was undecided on the science curriculum for so long because I couldn’t possibly visualize what science might look like for a kindergartner. Common sense press has raised the bar for home-school science because the course grows with the student. The inclusion of multiple styles of resources and references within the book make it easy for the teacher to equip the child to expand on their ideas and hypothesis with options like 3-D projects and additional library reading suggestions. I’m always a fan when curriculum is created with support for the teacher! All the little extras have made this course a joy to work through.
